14 Pantry Meals Using Simple Pantry Staples

Some times we have to turn to what’s in our pantry to get see us through! Whatever the reason, having a few pantry meals in the hopper is going to be a game-changer and is going to keep life simple yet tasty!

There are always times when we cannot get to the store, whether it’s due to illness or circumstances caused by nature. That is why it is a good idea to always keep your pantry stocked with key items.

I’m going to share my list of favorite pantry staples, although I know that during difficult times, these may not be available to you. In most recipes, I offer substitution ideas so that you are always able to make any recipe. I am also available to answer any recipe questions!

Before we talk about pantry meals, let’s get into the pantry staples! Here are my favorites (again, these may not all be available to you at all times)

CANNED GOODS

  • Diced tomatoes
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Crushed Tomatoes
  • Tomato Paste
  • Black Bean
  • Garbonzo Beans
  • Chicken Broth (bouillion cubes are also a fantastic item to keep on hand)
  • Beef Broth
  • Corn

Jarred Items

  • Spaghetti Sauce
  • Vinegar (s)
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Soy Sauce

BAKING STAPLES

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Brown Sugar
  • Baking Powder
  • Baking Soda
  • Yeast

Refrigerated Staples

  • Large Eggs
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Sour Cream
  • Heavy Cream
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Jarred Garlic
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Mayo
    Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Cream Cheese
  • Frozen pasta like tortellini, gnocchi, and frozen bread and rolls
  • Canned biscuits
