Place your cube steak into the bottom of your slow cooker and place the lid on.
Cook on LOW heat for 6-8 hours.
In a small bowl whisk together the cornstarch and cold water until blended.
Once the steak has been cooked, stir the mixture into the crock pot.
Cook for another 30 minutes or so on high or until the gravy has thickened.
Serve warm and enjoy!
If desired you can swap out the onion soup mix for brown gravy or white country gravy mix instead. This will help to give you a different flavor profile while still giving you yummy results.
What to serve with cube steak
This gravy smothered cube steak will go perfectly with a nice and simple side dish of creamy mashed potatoes, cooked white rice, or even cooked pasta noodles. For vegetables anything green usually works well. Cooked broccoli, peas, or even green beans are pretty much considered favorites and go-to’s when serving cube steak.
Do you rinse off cube steak?
