Ice Cream Cakes Are Easy!

Graduations are huge milestones and it doesn’t matter if we are talking about a kindergarten graduation,  college graduation or anything in between; all are significant events.

I cried when all three of my kids graduated from preschool. I know it was just preschool, but it represented a big moment for me as a mom. This transition into elementary school meant that my kids were growing up quickly. While the kids were in preschool, my husband and I had so much influence over our kids. As kids get into elementary school, I know that while parents still factor into how our kids make decisions,  there are so many more outside influences that shape your child.

My oldest will be graduating from the 8th grade. She is nothing but excited. I find myself facing yet another milestone. This milestone is much harder for me. The transition into high school is big, and I know that friends, teachers, coaches, teammates, trends, and social media now play an enormous part in my daughter’s life. While we will always be important, my daughter is starting to figure the world out on her own. She is slowly making her way out of the nest and I find it just a bit a bittersweet.

Ice Cream Cakes For Graduation

Whether I am emotional or not, we still have to celebrate! Parties require cake and ice cream, but why not combine the two and have ice cream cakes instead! I Love Ice Cream Cakes make it so easy for you to celebrate by offering up a selection of premade cakes in your local grocery store (I purchased my cakes at Kroger but you can check for retailers HERE)! The Ice Cream Cakes come in many different styles and sizes, including Carvel®, Jon Donaire® andOreo®! I kept my decoration relatively simple by using a few peanut butter cups and square caramel filled chocolates to create a graduation hat. Store bought icing was used for tassels and numbers. This is such an easy way to decorate your graduation cake and everyone will love the combination of the ice cream cake and the toppings!
