Shrimp Creole makes a tasty addition to any dish, but when you add it to a Cobb salad you get an impressive array of ingredients that are both flavorful and delicious! This is more than a salad, this is a MEAL!
Every once in awhile we have weeks where we eat really bad food. Sometimes it is because we are traveling or sometimes it is because we are running around between all the kid activities and making dinner isn’t an option. Sometimes, I feel too lazy to cook.
Without fail, these weeks of gluttony are followed by a week of clean eating. I want barley, quinoa, and big, fat salads! My kids aren’t fans of salads, but a Cobb salad is different. A Cobb salad is a salad that eats like a meal!
This Cobb salad has a little Louisianna flavor with it’s Creole shrimp and andouille sausage! This salad is fun to make and fun to eat.
What Is A Cobb Salad?
A typical Cobb salad is made up of mixed greens, tomatoes, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, diced chicken, avocados, and a vinaigrette.
But the truth is, you can turn anything into a Cobb salad!

Shrimp Creole Cobb Salad Recipe Tips
I used a bag of mixed greens but you could use any lettuce you prefer! Romaine lettuce is a classic choice, but you could easily use spinach, arugula, or even kale.
I LOVE using the colorful cherry tomatoes, you can use all red or even chopped Roma tomatoes.
Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or chopped green onions!
I used frozen and thawed shrimp with tails on, so they only need 1-2 minutes to heat through. You can use gulf shrimp, salad shrimp, or raw shrimp.
Creole seasoning can be used in place of the Cajun seasoning. Most grocery stores will carry some sort of blend.
Smoked sausage can be used in place of the andouille sausage.
You can skip the feta cheese and add more shredded cheddar or even Monterey Jack cheese.
I used hot honey for the dressing, but regular honey is fine….ad a few dashes of hot sauce if you want to spice things up!
A Cobb salad is my favorite salad when I want to feel like I am eating a full meal and not just something that should be served on the side. This version has lots of flavor and spice and the dressing is tangy and sweet. I hope you lovee this salad as much as I do!
