Mini pretzels don’t look much like pumpkins until they disappear under orange candy coating. The curved pretzel shape creates the outline, melted orange chocolate fills the gaps, and one green candy pressed into the top becomes a stem. The whole Halloween treat needs three ingredients, and the refrigerator does most of the work once they’re assembled.

The combination also brings salt and sweetness into the same bite, with the crisp pretzel hidden beneath the candy shell.
Three ingredients make the pumpkins

You need mini pretzels, orange melting chocolate, and green candy pieces.
Green M&M’s work for the stems. A thin piece of pretzel dipped in green candy coating can take their place if you want the stem to look longer.
Melt the orange chocolate in the microwave until it is loose enough to coat the pretzels.
Dip each pretzel in orange chocolate
Cover each mini pretzel with the melted orange coating, then place it on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper.
The coating doesn’t need to look perfect. Swirls and ridges across the surface can make each pumpkin look different from the next.
Work while the coating remains soft because the stem needs to go in before it sets.
Add one green candy before the coating hardens

Press one green candy into the top of each coated pretzel.
That small addition is what turns the orange shape into a recognizable pumpkin.
Continue dipping and adding stems until the tray is full, leaving enough room between each piece so the coating can set without the pumpkins sticking together.
Give them a few minutes in the refrigerator
Move the finished tray into the refrigerator.
The orange coating needs only a short chill to firm up. Once it has set, lift the pumpkin pretzels from the waxed paper and transfer them to a serving plate.
No carving, piping bag, or detailed decorating is involved. A pretzel supplies the pumpkin shape, orange coating hides what is underneath, and one green candy finishes the illusion.
